Keep Henderson Beautiful awards July Yard of the Month

This homeowner on Richardson Dr deserves the KHB Yard Of The Month Award for July.

Keep Henderson Beautiful representatives have combed through nominations and awarded this well-manicured Richardson Dr. home with the great honor.

Homeowners have completely transformed their front yard by cutting trees, adding holly trees, pink drift roses, and Magnolia trees,” said KHB officials in a recent social media post. “Their pots are beautiful and colorful…Thanks for all your hard work making Richardson Dr more beautiful. Congrats.”

In early February 2008, several members of the Rusk County Master Gardeners met with City of Henderson officials and community leaders to discuss the expansion of beautification ideas for Henderson. At this meeting members voted to pursue an application to the State of Texas for the ‘Keep Henderson Beautiful’ program, with a charitable and educational purpose, this organization promotes public interest in the general improvement of the environment to initiate, plan, direct, and coordinate programs for litter control and solid waste management for the community on a sustainable basis.

Throughout their years of service to the community they continue to implement and maintain the Keep Texas Beautiful goals and to study, investigate, and develop plans for improving the health, sanitation, safety, and cleanliness of the City of Henderson.
